TikTok, the world's leading short video platform, recently updated the Community Guidelines to further enhance the platform in line with their Community Guidelines. According to a recent report, more than 91 million videos were deleted worldwide in the third quarter of 2021 - about 1% of all uploaded videos. 73.9% harassment and 72.4% vindictive videos have been actively removed. These videos have been removed before anyone can report them. In this case, a video is marked before anyone reports it and is removed in the active removal method. Some videos were removed within 24 hours of being posted on the TikTok platform. According to a recent report, about 14 million videos have been removed in the United States and about 7 million in Russia. Not only that, billions of fake likes, followers and follow requests have been permanently removed from the TikTok platform as part of a crackdown on fake spam with millions of spam accounts. In the third quarter, a total of 82.86% of videos, including more than 46,000 misinformation videos containing Covid-19, were actively removed from the platform. TikTok is constantly expanding their system to identify and remove certain categories during uploads. These include nudity and sexual activity, child safety and illicit activity and controlled products. As a result, the amount of automatic removal has increased, which improves the overall security of TikTok and enables it to focus more time on reviewing relevant or subtle content such as hate speech, vindictive content, harassment and misinformation.
